I wondered what this was doing in the iTunes "Classical" section of late, featuring my by Michael Jackson, Nirvana, Phil Collins, and even Coldplay. These two gentlemen play on Luis & Clark carbon fiber cellos (I've envied owning one). Their style can be sensitive like in Jackson's "Human Nature," but it's also quite aggressive, akin to hard rock (Smooth Criminal). The covers they perform work well in almost every case, and while only two cellos are playing, they utilize digital effects to add color and to expand the "orchestration" of their two instruments.
Sulic and Hauser have produced an album I've enjoyed playing on more than one occasion, and it's been well-regarded in limited plays by others… it's always fun recognizing a familiar song in new clothes.
